Online Donations $10-$140USDDonations greater than $140USDFor donations above $140USD MoneyGram is the cheapest and easiest way to donate. You'll have to pay a charge to Moneygram
in addition to the donation but this will be less than 7% of your
donation for donations above $140. The more you donate the smaller the
percentage of your donation is charged. So if you are thinking of
donating regularly (e.g. monthly) we advise you to bulk up your
payments into quarterly payments, so that it's cheaper for you. If you
would like to donate via MoneyGram please email us and we can inform you of a McLeod Ganj MoneyGram dealer to send to. We
also accept international bank transfers and donation cheques by post,
but please contact us first to check it will be compatible with our
Indian bank account. If you
are in McLeod Ganj we welcome donations at Lungta House. Enter the
building and walk up the stairs to the first floor. Take a right to the
office and one of our staff can assist you and give you a receipt on
the spot. Any
other donation offers are kindly accepted. Please contact us to see if
your offer is suitable. We especially need Windows XP-installed
computer donations for our school classroom network. Students at
GuChuSum takes computer classes as well as English & Tibetan as
part of their 1-year study programme at GuChuSum. Some of our computers
are very old and slow because they still use Windows 95 and deal with
demanding programs like Pagemaker or Photoshop. Contact: President of Gu-Chu-Sum Movement of TibetJogibara Road, P.O. Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala-176219, H.P., IndiaTel (91)1892-21379 e-mail: "info dot desk at guchusum dot org" (22 characters long)

Example costs for our Tibetan prisoner organisation

GuChuSum
has no permanent sources of funding; we operate solely on donations and
voluntary work. Any kinds of donation are welcome, whether it is simply
providing clothing and food or a larger donation to cover the hospital
expenses of torture survivors.
- One donation of $40 provides medical treatment, food and lodging for one person for one month.
- We also need support to continue providing education and housing facilities to newly arrived ex-political prisoners.
- We are currently publishing 1,000 copies
of "Tibetan Envoy" a year, costing ~40,000 Rs (~US$1000), any
contributions to support its continuation would be appreciated.
- There
are currently 11 staff members working in our office. We need to
provide the staff with a basic subsistence salary (around $80
a month). If you can help even one staff member, it would be very
beneficial.
